Elaine Foster

Elaine Foster worked as a Cashier with the University of California in 1966.  She became the first Black Supervisor in the Cashiers office at UC Berkeley’s Sproul Hall in 1968.  She later assisted 21 professors as a Purchaser for the Molecular and Cell Biology Department.
Elaine retired from UC Berkeley in 2009 after 31 years of service.

Elaine is the founder and manager of the gospel group, “Stars of Glory”, voted the Best Gospel Group in Northern California.   She has served with Home & Foreign Missions and traveled to Nova Scotia and Canada.  She also hosted Ministers from Nigeria in her home.
Elaine is a Mother of two sons, three grandchildren, and has been married for 51 years.
