Shantina Jackson, PhD

Dr. Shantina Jackson has been a STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics) education leader in the Bay Area for over 15 years. For nearly a decade, Dr. Jackson worked to eliminate barriers for students of color at the Level Playing Field Institute as Director of Education Programs. Presently, as the Program Coordinator for the Richmond Police Activities League, Dr. Jackson supports the development of Richmond youth by providing high quality educational, social, and cultural programming. Her passion for youth development and social justice led her to found her own company, Enlightened Education Solutions where she operates as the Chief Consultant providing vital program planning, research and fundraising services to community based organizations. Dr. Jackson earned her PhD and Master’s in Education at UC Berkeley, and her undergraduate degree in African-American Studies from UCLA.
